Send your half-pint to safety camp

The New Hope parks and recreation and police departments and West Metro Fire-Rescue are sponsoring Half Pint Safety Camp during the MEA break on Wednesday, October 16, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. This one-day camp is a great way for kids in Kindergarten and grade 1 to learn about safety and have a great time. Safety topics will include electrical safety, fire safety, personal safety, a police canine demonstration, and more. Lunch, snacks, a camp t-shirt, and a graduation event are all included in the $20 fee for residents of New Hope and Crystal (nonresidents pay $7 more). For more information or to register for the camp, call the New Hope Parks and Recreation Department at 763-531-5151. Space is still available.
