OBMT performs Willy Wonka at the New Hope Outdoor Theatre

Off Broadway Musical Theatre (OBMT) is presenting Roald Dahl’s “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory” at the New Hope Outdoor Theatre on weekends through August 3.

Willy Wonka is the timeless story of a magical, mysterious candy maker and his quest to find an heir. OBMT has been collaborating with the New Hope Parks and Recreation Department on summer musical productions since 1982.

Performances of Willy Wonka are at 8 p.m. on Thursdays and 9 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. The July 25 performance will also be signed by an American Sign Language interpreter (or July 26 if it rains).

Because seating is limited, guests are encouraged to arrive early. A free will donation of $4 per person is suggested.

The New Hope Outdoor Theatre is located at 4401 Xylon Ave. N. (just west of City Hall). For more information, visit www.obmt.org.
