New Hope Safety Camp is August 13-15

New Hope Safety Camp teaches kids about safety in a fun, engaging day camp setting. This year’s camp will be August 13-15 at Civic Center Park, 44th and Xylon avenues in New Hope.

The program is open to kids entering grades 3 to 5 in September. Camp is in session from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., with activities scheduled from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day. Safety topics will include fire safety, water safety, sports safety, electrical safety and many more.

Activities will be capped off with a “graduation” ceremony and dinner for campers and their families at 5 p.m. on the final day of camp. Participants will be randomly placed into small groups. The fee, which is $38 for New Hope residents and $45 for nonresidents, includes a shirt, snacks, lunches, and the graduation activities.

Safety Camp is sponsored by the New Hope Parks and Recreation Department, the New Hope Police Department, West Metro Fire-Rescue District, and many local businesses and civic organizations.
