Join the fall Pickleball league in New Hope
Give Pickleball a try! The New Hope Parks and Recreation Department is sponsoring an Over 45 Mixed Doubles Pickleball League again this fall, from September 5 to October 10.
Pickleball is sometimes described as a cross between ping-pong, badminton and tennis. The game is played on a tennis court with special markings that reduce the size, a racquet that looks like a big ping-pong paddle, and a whiffle ball. It’s great fun, and not too strenuous for older adults.
Lessons or previous playing experience are not required to join in the fun.

League play will be on Thursdays between 6 and 10 p.m. New Hope’s Pickleball courts are at Hidden Valley Park, 32nd and Boone avenues, and Civic Center Park, 44th and Xylon avenues. The league fee is $20 per couple. To register or for more information, call Steve Ellingson at 763-531-5155.
