BRAIDING FIBERS FOR PEACE
Participants in a Covenant Village of Golden Valley workshop, from left, Jody LeVahn, Jolie Cummins and Beth Rosenberger, braid scarves to contribute to Karen Lohn’s Scarves of Peace project. Residents, staff members and guests of the retirement community braided fibers contributed from weavers and spinners from six continents. Fiber contributors and braiders bless their efforts with wishes for peace, making the scarves a tangible connection to the human yearning for peace. Lohn sends the scarves, with an attached message of peace, to world and community leaders.
