Pony Tails, Braids and Up-Dos: Fall Hair Trends

My name is Justine, I am a Stylist at The Beauty Lab, a newly opened Salon, Spa, Store in the heart of Golden Valley. I have worked for our owner, Kathryn, for just about 3 years now. We moved from our previous location in Plymouth about 3 months ago to expand our services and our knowledge as Stylists. It has been a pleasure to be a part of Kathryn's journey in opening such a beautiful new salon/spa.

I specialize in up-dos and event styles, which is why I am here today: to tell you about all the fun new fall trends for 2012! Not only event trends, but everyday trends as well.

So lets get started.

Some everyday looks that are in right now are simple ponytails, fish tail braids, and effortless up-dos.

Ponytails- These are very slick and elegant. Not the messy ponytails but the ponytails Kim Kardashian has been rocking. Very slick, no flyaways, and just all around very simple.

Fishtail Braids- This is generally for longer hair, I have seen a lot being worn off to the side, or just straight down the middle. Fishtail Braids are a little more casual looking than your average braid, (meaning a little more messy, for lack of a better word) although this can be worn with both a casual outfit or for a night out on the town, there are lots of ways to dress it up and make it your own.

Effortless Up-dos- These are a little more tricky, but beautiful and fun if your willing to try one. These are generally low up-dos, or off to the side. Up-dos that can be worn everyday, not just for a special event. Be creative, and don't spend a lot of time (hence the name effortless) you don't want to look like your going to prom. Its OK if they're a little messy.

If you're not sure how to accomplish these looks call us at The Beauty Lab and we would be more than happy to teach you.

I look forward to helping you with all your new fall looks!

Justine
