Hopkins School District Invites Public to Join in Visioning Process

The district is hosting an event Oct. to discuss the district’s future. RSVP by Sept. 19 to participate.

Editor’s Note: The following announcement comes from Hopkins Public Schools.

Hopkins Public Schools is renewing its mission and strategic plan. As part of this process, the entire community is invited to attend a World Café event and participate in an important visionary discussion that will shape the future of Hopkins Public Schools.

The event is taking place on Oct. 4, 2012 at Hopkins High School (2400 Lindbergh Drive, Minnetonka) in the cafeteria. Dinner is from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. and “visioning” is from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Community members, parents, teachers, staff members, administrators, and school board officers will discuss ideas for engaging the educational community, building an innovative and collaborative program and exploring relevant learning for students. The community conversation will enable participates to co-evolve the futures they want rather than settle for the futures they get.

Those who wish to attend should RSVP to Bobbi McLaird by Sept. 19. Childcare may be offered if enough people request it. Please indicate if this service is needed.
