Golf Tournament Raises $285,000 for Children's Hospital

The Golden Valley Golf and Country Club hosted a successful charity tournament recently.

According to a press release:

, a prestigious country club in the Twin Cities, hosted the 16th annual Great Clips Charity Golf Classic on June 25 to help raise $285,000 to benefit Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota. This year’s donations, which have been earmarked for the hospital’s Family Needs Fund, will help provide hotel stays for families with kids staying at Children’s. 

“We chose Golden Valley Golf and Country Club this year for its pristine course and beautiful clubhouse that could accommodate our growing attendee list of 500 guests,” says Ray Barton, Chairman of Great Clips.

“This was the first year we held our event here and the staff was outstanding and made our golf event, which included a double shotgun, program and dinner, perfect in every way. We were so impressed with how Golden Valley Golf and Country Club handled every aspect of our event that we’ve already booked our 17th annual event there for next year.”

The 17th annual Great Clips Charity Golf Classic will be held on June 24, 2013, at Golden Valley Golf and Country Club.
