Golden Valley Man Watches Son Plead Guilty To Mankato Murder
Damone Tillman Sr. cried as his son, Christopher Tillman, was sentenced to life with the possibility of parole for killing Josselyn Bishop.
A Golden Valley man was in court today when his son admitted stabbing a Mankato woman to death in July.

District Court Judge Bradley Walker sentenced Chris Tillman, as he's known to friends and family, to life in prison with the possibility of parole, according to the Free Press.
Chris Tillman "used his orange jumpsuit to wipe his eyes as his attorney, Barry Voss, helped him describe what happened in broad daylight on North Victory Drive the afternoon of July 8," according to the Free Press article.

Tillman told the courtroom of spectators, including his father and Bishop's family, that he drove Bishop around Mankato and they started yelling at each other. "That’s when he stopped the car and pulled out a knife," according to the story. "(Bishop) got out of the car and ran after he stabbed her once in the stomach. ... (Tillman admitted he) chased her down, caught her and stabbed her repeatedly until she was lying lifeless on a grassy median."
According to the Mankato Free Press, Damone Tillman Sr. lost "his composure several times during the 90-minute hearing."
Judge Walker said, “I can’t turn the clock back,” at the end of the hearing. Tillman Sr. whispered, “I wish you could," according to the Free Press story.
