Schiffelly Puppets: No Nose for Rudolph
Golden Valley Library
Saturday, Dec. 15, 11 a.m.
For families. The famous reindeer has had his nose taken by Hank the Greedy Hog. Join Slurrpy the Snowman, Santa Claus and a host of other holiday characters as they try to get back Rudolph's nose.

Crafty Minnesota: Handcrafted Creatures

For adults. Stitch a tiny stuffed animal that you can hang on your holiday tree, make into a keychain or give as a gift. Choose your favorite creature - birds, dogs or zombies - and bring it to life. Materials provided. Find related books and more at the Library. This project is funded with money from Minnesota's Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund. Presented in collaboration with Textile Center.

The Fantasies of Charles Dickens
Southeast Library
Saturday, Dec. 1, 2:30 p.m.
For adults. Besides the classic "A Christmas Carol," Dickens (1812-1870) also wrote Christmas novellas with fantasy elements as well as fairy tales and ghostly short stories, including "The Signal-Man." Librarian Eric Heideman will talk about the fantastical side of this beloved writer.

Hanukkah, Christmas and Kwanzaa Stories and Fun
St. Louis Park Library
Tuesday, Dec. 4, 7–8 p.m.
Wednesday, Dec. 5, 10:30–11:30 a.m.
For families. Enjoy stories, songs and dances of Hanukkah, Christmas and Kwanzaa. Arrive early to play with dreidels. A craft activity will follow the program.
