Recycling Participation Increases in Golden Valley
How many more Golden Valley residents hauled leaves to Brookview Park this year during drop-off hours than last year?

According to the Environmental Commission, 2,202 cars came through Brookview Park to recycle leaves during the City's fall leaf drop-off.
In this week's commission meeting documents, commissioners reported that the number of participants this year increased by 10 percent from last year.
"While attendance was up, trip analysis indicated that approximately 18 percent of eligible homes participate in the program this year," commissioners said in documents.
When it comes to curb-side recycling, the Environmental Commission reported that from January to October of this year, participation is up by almost 19 percent.
