Drunk in Public, Assault: Golden Valley Resident Court Appearances
Golden Valley residents will appear in court this month for hearings related to assault, public intoxication and trespassing.
The Hennepin County Sheriff's Office received 54 percent more handgun permit applications in the first four months of 2012 as compared with the same time period during 2011.

The following Golden Valley residents will appear in court this month for various charges, according to the Hennepin County Sheriff's jail roster.
- Trina Arnold, 28, appeared in court on Feb. 1. Faces two misdemeanor charges including failure to pay a cab fee and fifth-degree assault.
- Maurice Garrett, 67, appeared in court on Feb. 1. Faces five misdemeanor charges including consuming in public, loitering with an open bottle and trespassing.
- Amanda Kascmar, 29, to appear in court on Feb. 13. Face two misdemeanor charges including fifth degree assault and obstructing the legal process.
