Warm Weather Closes Some Ski Trails

**Information provided by the Minneapolis Park & Recreation Board.

Due to the warm weather, the cross-country ski trails at Columbia and Hiawatha will be closed as of Thursday, Jan. 10. No grooming will occur and users are encouraged to stay off the trails to prevent damage.

At Wirth Winter Recreation Center, the snowmaking loop will remain open during this warm spell. However, the front 9, par 3, JD Gardens, Eloise Butler and the bog trails will be closed. Again, we encourage users to stay off these trails to preserve the trail base.

We expect to open and resume grooming on Saturday, Jan. 12 when the colder temperatures are predicted to arrive.

For the most up-to-date information on trail conditions, visit the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board's ski trail report web page.

Snowtubing and snowboarding at Wirth Winter are not affected and are open and ready for fun!
